Leo Thomas, drummer in the 1970s country-bluegrass-rock band, Cornbread. After Cornbread broke up, Leo went on to co-invent the electric washboard and become famous for playing it with such creativity and innovation that the New York Times called him, ‘the Jimi Hendrix of the Washboard.’ Bayou retraces Leo’s life, from his mischievous childhood, musical accomplishments, environmentalism and swamp myths to his hippy idealism.  From experiencing love and shocking human loss to finally reconnecting with his only daughter (Bayou) and being healed from life’s tragedies by the very special bond the two come to share.

so far the over all experience with this years HSDFIF has been great....even with the NO SHOWS!!! of a couple of HOLLYWOOD headliners the Films are still what it is all about ....the theater could stand a little better HEAT as it has been cold the first two days...but the warmest spot in the building is a quaint little cafe called DOE'S set up in the historical princess entrance at the back of the theater...which by the way has some great food...

Looks great!
