Jeffrey Marshall is a professional musician. His band have just released their debut album. Jeffrey was born without arms or legs, his feet growing directly from his hips. As a performer he wonders whether people come to his gigs to hear the music or to stare at the spectacle of a limbless man playing the guitar with his feet. So he decided to explore his identity as a disabled performer by taking it back to it’s most primal form: exhibiting himself in the last remaining freak show in America. For a brief moment Jeffrey becomes part of an all but forgotten and misunderstood way of life. A way of life that once gave disabled people opportunities for independence that could be found nowhere else. Filmmaker in person

Gorgeous, funny & moving

With such a fascinating subject, the director could have made a decent doc simply by turning on a camera and pointing it at the main character. How nice it was, then, to see every shot (even b-roll and transitional imagery) filmed with care. The result was a memorable short film full of lyricism and beauty.
